ELEANOR FIELD
SET & COSTUME DESIGN
Eleanor Field is a scenographer, a mother, and is currently completing a part-time PhD at Northumbria University exploring mess and scenographic processes. Her research investigates what a study of mess can offer as a challenge to current industry expectations of theatre-making processes and possibilities.
She has spoken at numerous conferences and symposiums including T&PRA and IFTR at Prague Quadrennial 2023.
Eleanor works as an associate lecturer on the theatre design courses at Birmingham City University and Derby University.
As a theatre designer, with over a decade of professional experience, she has worked on a variety of projects for opera, dance, theatre and festivals. Her most recent project: designing A Family Business by Chris Thorpe for Staatstheater Mainz, Germany.
